Redwoods, Coast, & a new blog domain…

The past few weeks I’ve been busy optimizing my blog [new domain too!] and switching over to SSL. This SSL switch has not been easy. I’ve gone from CDN to CDN — and always with some undertow of WTF is wrong with my site speed and appearance. So, I finally simply settled down and removed W3 Total Cache and replaced it with Wordfence Falcon Engine. Though it knocks me down for CDN points — I am impressed with the site speed. If I could just find the time to work on the CSS sprites, site optimization would become my lil buddy.

Back to Mental Health

I am also back to working part-time in mental health at an undisclosed location. Due to the number of data breaches that I have been sucked into lately — it won’t be long before I become part of the CHEERS gang

Yeah, that’s me in the corner…

We live in a very tense society. We are pulled apart… and we all need to learn how to pull ourselves together…. I think that at least part of the answer lies in solitude. ~Helen Hayes

Redwoods & the Coast

I’ve always been very private about my personal life as well as generally never announcing any vacations. But, today I am getting the e-heck out of Dodge. I am heading to the coast and camping in the Redwoods. I am leaving as much technology behind as is humanly possible. I am packing wine, drinks, and beer — all the goodie BBQ foods and camping gear and also packing good old fashioned PENS and PAPER. [No, I am NOT a tree hater]. Sometimes, you just have to get away from it all and get back to your roots. It’s always a good thing — when you can reconnect with what you once knew (oh so long ago) and know that it is oh so real.

BTW = Welcome to my new blog!

Oh, I will be back to blog about security, tech, and social media — just not this weekend. Adios. Succinct enough?
