The big news in Infosec this week goes to Antisec – a subgroup of the hacker collective known as Anonymous. Antisec claims to have breached an FBI Dell Vostro notebook using the AtomicReferenceArray vulnerability[ref] Gizmodo[/ref] (Java) and released 1 million UDIDs (Apple Unique Device Identifiers) in a torrent at the PirateBay.se. They said their goal in releasing a slice of the data was to prove that the F.B.I. used device information to track people.[ref] New York Times Blog[/ref]
My UDID is not included in the first torrent; currently crossing my fingers and eyeballs – hoping that the FBI is not really tracking me ( so yeah, I am curious about future dumps).
While Gizmodo dances around in a tutu, the rest of us simply wonder…
